Club shaped body of a gall up to 10mm long , with stalk up to 3mm long, base surrounded by stunted anthers; gall with longitudinal ribs and
scattered downward hairs at first, later smooth except for a ring of hairs around the pronounced tip; initially green, the ribs become reddish and the whole gall
becomes brownish
Andricus seminationis
This gall can itself be parasatised and the gall is then distorted; its stalk is short or absent and it remains attached
