Large-headed Resin Bee (Heriades truncorum)

O Lomholdt 1984
The wing venation suggests a Stigmus Sp (2nd image down) rather than Spilomena Sp

Nesting in wood
Entering quite large holes and very small ones

Antennal segments 4 & 5 the same size
Suggests Stigmus solskyi
as in
Stigmus pendulus the antennal segment 4 is distinctly longer than 5

Stigmus Sp
None of the images show the mesopleuron, which in the case of S solskyi is coarsely reticulate-rugose whereas S pendulus only has weak rugae.
Eventually the pale humeral tubercles were seen confirming this as Stigmus solskyi
in the other Stigmus sp in the UK they are black.
